Church of Neil a Bend Roots Event

The Church of Neil, founded in 2004, is celebrating its 22nd year and takes place around Neil Young's birthday annually. This year marks Neil's 80th! The Church of Neil is a lively celebration of Young's work, aiming to inspire everyone who participates. Admission is a suggested twenty-dollar donation at the door, which supports our wonderful sound engineers, funds The Bend Roots' Music Education outreach programs, music camps, other projects, and provides part-time employment for local teaching artists through the Bend Roots Education Collective.

This year's event features 14 bands across 4 stages at 3 venues, making it the biggest and best Church service yet! Gather together to enjoy songs from Young's vast catalog, showcasing his lasting dedication to human connection and his passion for Mother Earth. With 50 songs in total, from acoustic classics like "Old Man" and favorites like "Harvest Moon" to intense rockers like "Cortez the Killer," it's been said that "there is a fine line between Saturday night and Sunday morning." At the Church of Neil, we dance and sing in that beautiful space in-between!
