Join us for one of Central Oregon’s favorite fall traditions—the Witches Paddle! Witches, warlocks, and magical creatures of all kinds will take to the Deschutes River for a festive community paddle benefiting MountainStar Family Relief Nursery.
Grab your paddleboard, kayak, or canoe, dress in your best witchy attire, and join us on the water—or come cheer from the riverbank! This family-friendly event brings our community together for an afternoon of fun while raising awareness and support for MountainStar’s work to strengthen families and keep kids safe across Central Oregon.
Come paddle for a purpose and help us make a little magic for local children and families!
FREE!! We encourage people to bring diapers and/or wipes for the children and families MountainStar serves.

The Witches Paddle will launch from Riverbend Park. Paddlers will gather at the park before taking to the Deschutes River together for our group send-off.
Spectators are welcome to find a spot along the river to cheer on the witches as they paddle by! 🧙♀️✨
We encourage all paddlers to arrive a little before 3:00 PM to get ready and gather together.
